ENGR 112 teaches the advanced concepts of the SolidWorks software, its use as a mechanical engineering design and manufacturing tool, and the ability to fabricate, design, and create parts and assemblies. Topics include mechanical design modeling in the 3D environment, complex solid and urface modeling, digital input and output, analysis, and integrating SolidWorks with other Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) programs for a productive design workflow. Lecture 2 hours, laboratory 4 hours.

  • Prerequisite: ENGR 111 or equivalent.
  • Transfer Credit: CSU


  1. This class is offered in the evenings during the Fall and Spring Semesters.
  2. Class consists of drawing assignments using the current version of the Solidworks software program, performance tests, lecture/demonstration, and a final exam.
  3. Class is typically offered at the same time/place as the Engr 111 class.
