OBT 070 Introduction to Computers
This course is designed as a foundation to prepare students for the study and use of microcomputer software applications. It offers background information and a hands-on introduction to personal computers and its software. This course includes supervised laboratory learning and lecture/demonstrations.

OBT 071 Computer Basics for ESL
This course is a computer literacy course especially created for ESL students. The course will familiarize students with computer vocabulary and will cover an introduction to keyboarding and educational software programs, using the Internet, e-mail, and word processing applications. Students should become more confident in using a computer so they can continue their education in basic computer business classes and improve their independent computing skills.

OBT 080 Windows
This course is designed to familiarize the student with the basic computer skills essential for using Microsoft Windows to interact with IBM compatible microcomputers in a competent manner.

OBT 090 Beginning Microsoft Excel
This course is designed to meet the employment needs of private industry and of the public sector. It offers hands-on computerized spreadsheet training for students with no previous spreadsheet experience. The Introduction to Computers class or some recent computer experience is recommended for enrollment.

OBT 091 Advanced Microsoft Excel
Advanced Excel is designed to teach students advanced features of MS Excel including applying number formats using Excel templates, linking and sharing workbooks, and utilizing financial and statistical functions. Beginning Excel is strongly recommended for enrollment.

OBT 095 Quickbooks
Automated accounting for a small business use. Knowledge of accounting is recommended. Introduction to Computers or some computer experience is recommended for enrollment.

OBT 097 Peachtree
Automated accounting for a small business use. Knowledge of accounting is recommended. Introduction to Computers or some computer experience is required for enrollment.

OBT 100 Beginning Microsoft Word
This course is designed to meet the employment needs of the public sector and private industry. It offers hand-on word processing for students with no previous word processing experience. A typing speed of 25 is recommended. Introduction to Computers or some recent computer experience is recommended for enrollment.

OBT 101 Advanced Microsoft Word
This course is designed to teach students advanced features of MS Word including using mail merge, creating tables, inserting graphics into a document, modifying charts, creating styles and applying macros. Beginning Word and a typing speed of 25 wpm are strong recommended.

OBT 111 Microsoft PowerPoint
This course is designed to help turn your ideas into professional, compelling presentations. Introduction to Computers or some recent computer experience is recommended for enrollment.

OBT 113 Microsoft Access
Access is database management software. Experience with Word or Excel is recommended. The Introduction to Computers class or some recent computer experience is required for enrollment.

OBT 138 Outlook
This course provides an introduction to a personal information management (PMI) program using MS Office Outlook. This beginning course includes communication by email, managing contacts, planning tasks and schedules, and managing the inbox.

OBT 140 Internet
This class offers instruction in sending/receiving email and using Internet Explorer to search the World Wide Web. Introduction to Computers or some recent computer experience is required for enrollment.

OBT 150 Integrated Technology
This course introduces methods of creating documents and other projects by importing information and images into Word or PowerPoint from Excel, Access, Outlook, and peripheral hardware such as digital cameras and scanners.
